The Vision
Phantom Fiber Corporation was founded and incorporated in January 2002 by Jeff Halloran after discovering the limitations of existing wireless technology during the implementation phase of an online banking system for a major Canadian bank. From this experience, Phantom Fiber’s Advanced Wireless Platform was born, designed to deliver mission-critical data, transactions and client presentation features to mobile devices on global communication networks. Jeff Halloran then took Phantom Fiber through an initial funding phase totalling $1.2 million from private investors to help move his vision from the whiteboard to the real world. In February 2002, an original team of four core developers with early-generation experience in wireless technology joined the company to help expand on Jeff Halloran’s vision of developing a secure, end-to-end, advanced wireless platform designed to extend enterprise reach anytime, anywhere, on any mobile platform.
The Channel Strategy
In 2003, Phantom Fiber Corporation pursued an aggressive channel strategy to establish strategic partnerships with gaming technology providers who would re-sell Phantom Fiber’s Advanced Wireless Platform to their existing channel of licensed gaming operators. By the end of 2004, Phantom Fiber Corporation had signed additional strategic partnerships within the gaming channel to solidify its dominant position in the market segment.
Strengthening Partnerships and Relationships
In August 2004, Phantom Fiber Corporation joined an international collaboration involving existing partners Parlay Entertainment Group and Cameron Thomson Group to launch the WirelesStudios gaming network, a content provider with signed contracts at Wind Telecomunicazioni SpA, a leading network carrier in Italy. As a result of this collaboration, the world’s first tournament-based gaming model was deployed on Wind's i-Mode network to deliver interactive tournament games and promotional prizes over standard content offerings. Phantom Fiber Corporation then signed an agreement with the Internet’s #1 Casino, GoldenPalace.com, to become the preferred advanced wireless platform partner to launch their mobile gaming unit. GoldenPalace.com is known for its innovative "advertainment" approach to marketing and publicity and is highly-regarded within its industry.
Further extending strategic relationships for its Advanced Wireless Platform, Phantom Fiber Corporation pursued agreements with E-commerce providers to extend mobile banking solutions integrated to Phantom Fiber’s Advanced Wireless Platform, thereby enabling gaming operators to offer seamless banking functionality to their customers anywhere, anytime on mobile applications powered by Phantom Fiber.
Business Re-Organization
Also in 2004, Phantom Fiber Corporation completed its reverse takeover of Pivotal Self-Service Corporation and sold their discontinued operations paving the way for an OTCBB exchange listing, a new stock symbol and a new chapter.
Advanced Wireless Platform Evolves with Sound Technology RoadMap
In 2005, Phantom Fiber Corporation has already made significant inroads with a sound technology roadmap to deliver an advanced wireless platform that solidifies its dominant position as the world’s only complete end-to-end wireless platform solution with the broadest support for the global gaming industry and enterprise markets. After three successful generations of enhancement and evolution, Phantom Fiber’s Wireless Platform is relaunched as The Advanced Wireless Platform with many industry-leading advancements and a new objective: Enhancing Mobility Worldwide.
